Access to Space for Performance Groups

CCurrently, student performance groups, such as Cal Band, have been faced with inaccessible, unsafe, and unconvenient spaces like Lower Sproul, while many large campus spaces on campus are under-utilized and not available for student use. As an ASUC senator, I will advocate for student voices in the Lower Sproul Redevelopment Council to ensure that the university opens the doors to these large and safer spaces for student use.

University Accountability to Students’ Opinion in Budget

Due to recent administrative changes in departmental budgeting and campus restaurants, our student voices and opinions have been silenced. In office, I will work to ensure that student concerns are included in the decision-making process. In addition, I will work to hold the University accountable for transparency of budgeting procedures. As students, we have the right to demand to be heard!

Bridging Together the Asian Pacific American Community

Despite having a large population of Asian Pacific Americans on campus, there are huge divisions amongst the various APA communities. In an effort to bridge that gap, I will work to facilitate dialogues and campaigns that will bring the communities together. Only through that process can we increase awareness of the various issues we all face and create a unifying voice.
