Space For All
The financial cuts to public education has decreased the availability of adequate, programmable space for students on campus. As EVP, I will ensure that the Multicultural Community Center, dance/performance space and reflection space, and room reservation processes through Office of Student Life, ensuring they are accessible to students.
Ensuring Campus Jobs Pay Earlier Than The 8th
Work study and other work opportunities are crucial for students to help pay for college and to develop the necessary skills they will need after graduation. However, students struggle with the lack of available job openings as well as the current pay date being on the 8th and rent being due earlier in the month. As EVP I will push to make the pay date earlier and work with administrators to increase the availability of campus jobs so that students can financially support their education and be more prepared after graduation.
Enhancing ASUC Resources
With the current economic climate, student organizations have been struggling to find the necessary resources to support their programming. The ASUC can help student organizations by improving and centralizing its resources. As EVP, I will work to enhance these resources by offering student discounts for printing services and making sure students are aware of their funding options.
