Strengthening The Student Voice: Making Change Together

Keeping the University accountable to serving students’ needs is a collective task that cannot be accomplished by any single person. As President, I will bring students one step closer to the University administration by holding open meetings and inviting different student leaders to attend. I will also continue the progress made on Lower Sproul Redevelopment and ensure that students are not taxed for the costs of planning the project.

Empowering Students, Building Community

We need to build a student community based on shared values, not divisive politics. As a student community we will improve our temporary Multicultural Center to unite students from all communities and backgrounds. We will work with student groups and other college campuses to bring famous speakers to UC Berkeley to further enrich the student experience.

Demanding More From The ASUC

The ASUC is not a high school student government. We need a President who will work on issues that matter to all students. As President, I will work with the University and other campus entities to reduce the costs of campus performance spaces like Zellerbach and Wheeler Auditorium. I will get student input in determining the future of the ASUC’s commercial ventures. Finally I will work with the Chancellor, the Alumni Association, and students to increase scholarships and financial aid offered to low and middle income students.
