Platform
Increasing Retention Services for Chican@/Latin@ Students
The University has established different retention services for underserved communities like Chican@/Latin@s on this campus. However they are usually under funded, under staffed or under advertised. I will work to make sure that campus programs like the Multicultural Immigrant Student Program receive adequate funding and staffing so that their goals can be met and all students are equally served.
Building An Accessible Campus & Student Government
Unfortunately, the ASUC does not currently fit Berkeley’s historic mold as a disability-friendly institution. As senator, I will work to make ASUC buildings more accessible and increase awareness and utilization of the ASUC accessibility fund to ensure inclusion of all students at ASUC sponsored events.
Creating Coalitions Within The Cal Greek System
Many Greek organizations believe that our Greek system is not inclusive of all fraternities and sororities. I will advocate for funding and programming within councils, especially for collaborations with the Multicultural Greek Council and the National Pan-Hellenic Council to build stronger bonds in our Greek Community.
