Platform

Ethical Investments & Spending

The University has already made a commitment to stop using logo apparel made in overseas sweatshops. I want to expand such commitments to include all University spending and investments. I will offer support for pro-union, pro-human rights, and environmentally friendly businesses. We want a university that seeks alternative, creative and local investments.

UCPD Should Protect & Serve Students

We need to make sure that UCPD is spending its time and resources wisely, not wasting time on tree-sitters or breaking up parties. I want to bring transparency to UCPD policy by exercising our right to maintain a student review committee and making sure that UCPD becomes an accessible resource to students. ASUC should encourage students to know their rights and invoke them when they are most needed!

Support Under-Funded Departments

I will create strong links between undergraduate student associations and allocate them greater funds. For continued communication and resources, I want to make sure that academic concerns for different departments can all be addressed in the ASUC. By communicating with students who care about their departments, we can help them to meet their demands for smaller class sizes, better library hours and resources, more GSIs, etc.
