Platform

Fighting For Transfer Students

Community colleges bridge social inequities, but once transfer students arrive on the Berkeley campus, services for them are lacking. As a voice for transfers in the ASUC, I will fight for a Summer Bridge program for transfers, funds to hire instructors for more transition courses, and secure storage spaces for commuters who carry heavy textbooks all day.

If You Can Read This, Thank A Teacher

As a future teacher, I understand that teachers are legitimate professionals and not overpaid babysitters. I will increase undergraduate awareness of the credentialing process and teaching profession, unite a community support group for prospective educators, and fight to waive the CSET credential requirement for specific majors.

A Voice for Silenced Communities

I will be a voice for marginalized populations by increasing the presence of underrepresented populations through recruitment and retention funding, securing funds for philanthropic organizations to focus more on their activities than on fundraising, and advocating collaboration between different groups in order to achieve a more integrated campus community.
