Putting Money Back Into The Hands of Students

The AAVP office has $160,000 in grants to allocate each year. Currently, many funds are left unspent and the process lacks transparency. As your AAVP I will ensure an efficient and fair grants process by reporting allocations to the senate and will increase awareness and understanding of the criteria to the student body.

Enhance Your Educational Experience

Current academic policies do not prioritize students or their well being. The University needs to be challenged and students need to have a voice in the process. As your AAVP I will challenge the University’s policies on the Early Drop Deadline by working with the Student Advisory Council on Undergraduate Education.

Students First! Making Our Voices Heard

Currently the University believes that one student on each Academic Senate Committee and Chancellor Advisory Committee is sufficient. As AAVP I will increase student representation on these committees to ensure that our student voice is heard in ALL academic policy decisions. I will also bring students together to ensure that they are working cohesively rather than in isolation from each other.
