Platform

Healthy Success

Without exposure to medical school at the undergraduate level, pre-health students are at a disadvantage upon graduation. I will work to implement programs that utilize our proximity to UCSF to give our undergraduates the chance to intern for, do research with, and fully experience life as the doctors, nurses, dentists, optometrists, and pharmacists they will one day be.

Textbook Transparency

Berkeley students spend nearly $1000 per year on textbooks and readers. Collaborating with publishers, statewide coalitions, and local vendors, I will work to ensure that the lowest textbook prices are guaranteed to Cal students and design means by which you can return, resell, and recycle your readers.

An Empowered You: The Power of Coalition Building

Through successful campaigns such as the Count Me In initiative, the Asian Pacific American Coalition has shown the power of coalition building. Based upon the success of this coalition and others, I will work with South Asian student organizations to create a coalition so that we will then have the ability to make change together.
