Platform

Unify the Engineering Community

Engineers need to increase their presence on campus. They are short of their full potential because they are currently decentralized. As senator, I plan to help rebuild the Engineering Joint Council to create a coalition amongst the engineering societies, and expand the Berkeley Engineers and Mentors (BEAM) to make it the central resource for engineering outreach.

Performance Space

Performance groups need better practice and performance spaces. When in office, I will work with the RSF and other campus locations to help reserve spaces for these groups. In addition, I will continue with Lower Sproul Redevelopment planning efforts to ensure that space is reserved for the utilization of students. I will continue to lobby with Cal Performances to make Zellerbach more accessible to student groups.

Reduce Classroom Cuts

We are the students in this university and we reserve the right to fight the class reductions due to the budget cuts. I intend to persistently communicate with the regents, department chairs, and professors to ensure that fiscal resources are properly allocated to preserve classes and discussions most valued by students. I will encourage my fellow students to voice their needs and interests, so that these decisions can be made in a way that is most beneficial to students as a whole.
